Genbaneko uses M.U.G.E.N's default A.I., and thus is not particularly difficult to defeat. In comparison, 大回転ヨシ! hits many more times and deals a lot more damage, but has a longer recovery time. ヨシ!ヨシ!ヨシ! is a three-hit combo that stands out by mostly hitting, on top of giving, though it does not deal a particularly large amount of damage. Genbaneko's other Assist, クレーンヨシ!, is comparatively weak as it cannot have its damage expanded upon and is oriented around hitting airborne opponents, which is not ideal given that Ganbaneko's only move that forces the opponent into the air is フォークリフトヨシ!, which cannot be active at the same time as クレーンヨシ!. Because using パレットヨシ! increases the aeformentioned pallet counter every time it's used, using it often can be a good strategy to maximize the damage output of フォークリフトヨシ!. If the pallet counter is above zero, the forklift will fire additional projectiles upon contact with a target, dealing extra damage. フォークリフトヨシ! summons a forklift that drives from either side of the screen, ramming into either the opponent or Genbaneko. パレットヨシ! deals less damage, but can hit and gives along with having a faster recovery time, meaning it's possible to link the move into itself, albeit with some difficulty as the timing window is pretty strict. ![]() 突進ヨシ! is a simple melee attack that makes for a decent combo-ending Special, though the long recovery time and lack of ability to cancel out of Specials leaves Genbaneko open when using it. The counter is depleted whenever フォークリフトヨシ! is activated (whether manually or automatically via the safety gauge). On top of the safety gauge, Genbaneko also has a pallet counter at the bottom of the screen that increases every time they use パレットヨシ!, maxing out at 9. ![]() The gauge can be reset to blue by either using one of the assists (whether manually or automatically), or by using the aeformentioned 安全確認. Once the gauge turns red, one of Genbaneko's Assists ( フォークリフトヨシ! or クレーンヨシ!) will automatically appear, which can hurt Genbaneko if not avoided. Genbaneko has a gauge shaped like their own head whose color indicates "safety", going from blue to yellow to red. ![]() Genbaneko's Normals can also be cancelled into Specials or Hypers however, Genbaneko cannot cancel Specials into Hypers or vice versa, limiting their overall combo ability. Genbaneko's combo system allows them to cancel their Ⓧ Normals into their Ⓨ Normals. Ⓢ is used for 安全確認, a move which acts identically to a standard taunt but has the secondary use of resetting Genbaneko's "safety" gauge. Hovering the mouse cursor over the icon displays the hold duration if applicable.Genbaneko is a four-button character using the Nijikaku button layout, meaning that Ⓧ is used for a weak attack, Ⓨ is used for a strong attack, Ⓑ is used for a grab attack, and Ⓐ is used for activating certain Specials. Icons encased in square brackets require the respective button(s) to be held down. Hovering the mouse cursor over the Command Input icons will display text that refers to the inputs set in M.U.G.E.N's Key Config. will try to keep distance using short hops to avoid losing too many lives, but otherwise makes good use of its Specials and Hypers to deal damage. Despite the lack of combo ability, Spelunker can still deal quite a lot of damage thanks to the speed at which his moves come out and his slightly-higher-than-average attack stat. himself.ĭue to the aeformentioned lives system, Spelunker is nearly impossible to link combos with, though as a result of his custom life-losing stat, he himself cannot be comboed by the opponent either. ![]() On top of this, Spelunker's health bar also depletes at a slow but constant rate (which the readme file states is meant to represent an oxygen supply), and if that health bar hits zero Spelunker will also K.O. When the life counter hits zero, Spelunker will K.O. At the beginning of every round, Spelunker gets 29 lives, and every time he performs certain actions (such as attacking with most of his non-Normal moves or his grab, jumping without attacking, or getting hit by an attack even those that are otherwise ) he loses one life. Spelunker's main mechanic is his lives system. This means that Ⓧ does a light attack, Ⓨ does a strong attack, Ⓑ does a grab attack, Ⓩ is used solely for a level-3 Hyper, and the remaining Ⓐ and Ⓒ are used for Specials and Hypers. Spelunker is a 6-button character that plays using a Nijikaku-style layout. ![]()
